History of Measure H
Linda Hedges
Linda Lindeen-Hedges was born in Nemaha County Kansas, Graduated from Seneca High School in 1965. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Education degree in 1969 at Emporia State University with honors. She completed her Master of Arts in Librarianship at San Jose State University in 1974.
She moved to San Mateo, California in 1970 and worked for Stanford Research Institute. After receiving her Librarianship Degree she retained employment at San Mateo Public Library. In 1975 she began working at Redwood City, California Public Library as a reference librarian and retired in 2003 as the Community Libraries Division Manager. She was active in several professional organizations.
She has been a member of the Harbortown Homeowners Association since 1979. She has served on the Board of Directors for 24 years and chairs the Association's Landscape Committee.
She is a member of the Hillsdale United Methodist Church and serves on various committees. She is a life long member of The Order of Eastern Star.
She is married to Rich Hedges and they have a daughter and three granddaughters who reside in Mission Woods, Kansas.
